I tried Rajma today and it came out good. It has very differnet taste and was spicy . So this is done recipe who likes spicy and tasty food. Without wasting much of time i reveal you the secret of making yumilicious Rajma.:)
Dish: Rajma Serves:4 People Costing:
Ingridients:
1 Bowl of Rajma
3 Onions
Ginger and Garlic
Moti IIlianchi
Bay Leaves(also called as Tej Patta)
Tomatoes
Garam Masala Powder(Home Made is preferred)
Kastoori Methi
1tsp of Chilly Powder
1/2 tsp of Turmeric Powder
2 Green Chillies
Salt to taste.
4 Spoons of Ghee
Process:
Put a spoon of ghee , 2 Moti Illiachi , Bay Leaf and Salt in water and soak rajma in it overnight .Then Pressure cook rajma in the same water in which it is soaked.Drain Rajma and keep it aside and dnt throw water.The water would be used in making the gravy.
Make Ginger ,Garlic and Onion Paste.In a Kadhai put 3 spoons of Ghee ,Put 2 green chillies,and onion ,ginger and garlic paste . Fry till they turn golden Brown .Then add Tomatoes puree (grind 4 Tamotoes in a mixer that makes Puree)and let it cook. Put little Kasoori Methi , Red chilly powder and turmeric powder and fry until the oil saperates. Then add garam masala(i used home made-it can be made by roasting Cinnamon, Cloves, Pepper corns , Illiachi and then grinding it)fry little more and then add drained Rajma in it. Fry for 5 mins and then add water. Simmer it for 15 mins . Add little salt and water if required.
Garnish it with lots of corriander leaves.
It goes well with Rice. Anju was the one who tasted it first and she loved it .Wat say Anju?
