Jan 26th , 2010 ,Matar(peas) ke paranthe.

Hello friends,

I am feeling much better today. Hopefully by tomorrow i will be okay.Everybody was home because of 26Th Jan so i thought of making breakfast today. I made "matar ke paranthe" and it was liked by all. This is quite uncommon one ,but it tastes good .I first tried this recipe during our courtship period. And was liked by my husband so much that it became one of my fav recipe. Though i don't make it often ,only try hands on it when there is some special occasion. So guys lets make it today.

Dish:Matar(Peas)ke Paranthe Time:20 Mins Serve:4 People Costing:

Process:

Ingredients:

Flour:2 Cups
Water:1 cup
Salt:2 Tsp
Jeera:1 Tsp
Matar(Peas):2 Bowl
Red Chilly Powder:1 Spoon
Roasted Jeera Powder:1 Tsp
Garam Masala:1 Tsp
Ghee: 2 Spoons

Process:

To make a Dough:
2 teacups whole wheat flour (gehun ka atta)& 2 tablespoons ghee &1/2 teaspoon salt and knead it well. Keep aside.

For Filling:

Take a kadai and heat 1 spoon of ghee in it.Add jeera and let it splutter . Put all peas ,red chilly powder, garam masala and salt in it and cover it with lid. Make sure you are making it on low flame. Cook for 10 minutes and cool the mixture.

Take a small portion of the dough, flatten a little and put 1 tablespoon of the green peas mixture in the centre. Cover the mixture by drawing up the edges towards the centre. Press on a floured board and roll out into a round as large as a saucer.
Put the paratha on a hot tawa (or skillet), cook for a minute or two and turn once.
After 1 minute, add a little ghee around the edges, turn again and fry the other side. When brown patches appear on both sides, the paratha is ready. Repeat for the rest of the dough.Serve hot.

I am sure you will relish this paratha and tastes yum. What are you waiting for ,go and make it.

C ya soon with next recipe.

love ya
